Tems, a Grammy-winning singer from Nigeria, is the first African performer to play the lead role in the FIFA Club World Cup final.
On Sunday 13, 2025, Tems played in the last Chelsea vs. PSG game.
According to the DAILY POST, Tems’ announcement by FIFA and Global Citizen, the event’s co-producers, excited football and music enthusiasts all around the world.
She walked to the stage to perform some of her classics, including “Essence,” “Born in the Wild,” and “Free Mind,” for a worldwide audience.
With this accomplishment, the singer became one of the international music icons who have performed on the FIFA stage, along with Shakira and Jennifer Lopez.
Tems received her first Grammy in 2021 for her work on Future’s 2022 hit song “Wait For U,” which featured Drake.
She also took up the Grammy Award for “Best African Performance” in 2025.
