Residents of Tombo Council Ward in Benue State’s Logo Local Government Area are terrified following the ambush and killing of former councilor Mr. Atindiga Tsebee by suspected armed herdsmen. The incident happened over the weekend near Tsukwa Village on the Ayilamo–Anyiin road. Tsebee was returning from a security meeting focused on local insecurity and attacks. Sources say the attackers ambushed a vehicle, owned by community leader Zaki Terngu Iorhuna, and opened fire, killing Tsebee instantly. The attack caused mourning and heightened tension. Residents have abandoned the community fearing further violence, and local leaders requested increased military presence. As of the report’s filing, Benue State Police Command spokesperson DSP Udeme Edet was unavailable for comment.
