The Kebbi police recover the stolen motorcycle and arrest the man who killed the Okada rider.

Rabiu Muhammad has been taken into custody by the Kebbi Police Command in relation to the death of Dahiru Tanimu, an 18-year-old commercial motorcyclist whose body was found in a jungle in Kawara village, Maiyama Local Government Area.

Police Public Relations Officer CSP Nafiu Abubakar confirmed the arrest in a statement on Monday.

The victim’s father told the Maiyama Divisional Police Officer that his son had left for his commercial motorbike company and never came back, according to the statement.

The deceased’s father claimed to have discovered his body in the bush, according to Abubakar.

Police officers were sent in to look into the incident after the report was made.

The effort led to the arrest of the suspect, Rabiu Muhammad, who was found in possession of the stolen motorcycle belonging to the deceased.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Bello M. Sani, has directed that the case be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation to ensure justice is served.

“We commend the untiring efforts of our officers in the field for making it hot for criminal elements lurking in the state,” the statement read.

CP Bello also urged residents to continue supporting security efforts in the state.

He also call on members of the public to always co-operate with the Police by furnishing them with accurate information to nib criminals in the bud.
