The NDLEA refutes a widely shared video that purports to show a secret airport used for cocaine smuggling in Kebbi.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has refuted viral claims about a two-kilometer airport located in the Argungu forest, asserting that the video is fake and was created using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Rabiu A. Sokoto, the NDLEA Commander for Kebbi State, informed reporters on Wednesday in Birnin Kebbi that a thorough investigation found no evidence of the alleged airport, forest, or the people featured in the clip.
Sokoto stated, “We directed our officers to investigate the airport and the forest alleged to be used for cocaine transport in Argungu, but found nothing.” He criticized the video for causing “unnecessary alarm and misleading the public.”
Ahmed Yakubu, the Kebbi State Commissioner of Information, also denounced the clip as malicious and politically motivated. He asked the public to ignore it, labeling it an attempt to damage the state government’s reputation.
