The Federal University, Lafia (FULafia) has named Professor Mohammed Isa Kida as its new Vice-Chancellor.
Professor Kida, a seasoned accountant and former Dean of the Faculty of Management Science, will begin his single, five-year term on February 11, 2026.
He is succeeding Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, who steps down in February 2026. The FULafia Governing Council, led by Mrs. Lola Fibisola Akande, expressed strong confidence that Kida’s experience will significantly boost the university’s growth.
Looks like he’ll be enjoying his quiet time until the real work starts in the new year.
