Gonzalo García of Real Madrid is being pursued by three of the Premier League’s top teams during the summer transfer window.
However, Gonzalo claims that staying at Real Madrid is his desire, according to Madrid Xtra (via Diario AS).
According to the source, Los Blancos are currently discussing a first-team contract with the 21-year-old’s camp.
García performed admirably for Real Madrid in the US during the Club World Cup competition.
With four goals, the 21-year-old was the leading scorer at the Club World Cup.
Several elite European clubs are interested in him because of his outstanding performance for Xabi Alonso’s team.
But after this summer, Real Madrid hopes to retain García at the Santiago Bernabeu.
García still has two years left on his Real Madrid deal, but at under $55 million, his buyout clause is a steal by Premier League standards.
