Hansi Flick, the manager of Barcelona, has offered an explanation for his team’s 3-1 loss to Borussia Dortmund in Tuesday’s second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal.

However, after winning the quarterfinal first leg match 4-0 at Camp Nou last week, Barcelona advanced to the Champions League semi-final with a 5-3 aggregate victory.
Flick acknowledged in a statement following Barcelona’s loss to Dortmund that the Blaugrana did not perform at their utmost against the Bundesliga team.
But he was happy that Barca advanced to the round of four after winning the two-leg matches.
Flick declared, “We are in the semi-finals.”
We deserved to go to the next round after two games were evaluated based on this. They made our lives extremely difficult and have a fantastic team, but the important thing is that we advanced to the next round.
We didn’t play at our best today, but Dortmund did a great job, too,” he continued.
“The crew has accomplished incredible things in the last few weeks. Although we have made progress, there is still much more to be done.
