Unity Cup 2025: Partey, Kudus, and Semenyo excluded from Ghana’s squad against Super Eagles

The Ghana Football Association, GFA, has confirmed that Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Antoine Semenyo and KamalDeen Sulemana will miss the Unity Cup 2025.

In a statement, the GFA disclosed that Kudus, Sulemana, Ernest Nuamah, Elisha Owusu, and Semenyo are recovering from minor injuries

Also sidelined with injuries are Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, Abdul Mumin, Tariq Lamptey, Alidu Seidu, Ernest Nuamah, Daniel Kofi Kyereh, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Iñaki Williams.

However, Otto Addo, the head coach of the Black Stars, has given Thomas Partey and Michael Baidoo a break. Jerome Opoku, Kingsley Schindler, and Alexander Djiku were not released by their clubs as the Turkish season is still ongoing. Joseph Paintsil and Osman Bukari are unavailable due to the ongoing Major League Soccer (MLS) matches. The Black Stars will compete against the Super Eagles on Wednesday, May 28 at the Gtech stadium in London. Today (Tuesday), the Unity Cup will begin with a match between Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
