Sodiq Ismail hopes to provide more assists for the Super Eagles after his impressive performance in the team’s victory over Ghana.
Eric Chelle’s side recorded a 2-1 victory over the Black Stars in their Unity Cup semi-final contest at the Gtech Community Stadium, London on Wednesday night.
Ismail provided the assist for Cyriel Dessers’ opening goal in the 14th minute.
The Remo Stars defender responded to a video of the opening goal on X, where the commentator praised Ismaila for his excellent assist for Dessers, by writing: “First of many Insha Allah (God willing).”
On Saturday, the Super Eagles will face off against Jamaica’s Reggae Boys in the final.
The semi-final will see a match between Ghana and Trinidad and Tobago’s Soca Warriors.
