Ole Werner, the manager of Werder Bremen, has praised Felix Agu’s development after the defender received international recognition.
After previously playing for Germany at the youth level, the defender has been given the green light to play for the Super Eagles.
The 25-year-old has already joined his Super Eagles teammates for the Unity Cup tournament.
Agu is now in line to make his first appearance for the Super Eagles against the Black Stars of Ghana on Wednesday.
Werner claimed playing international football will aid the full-back’s development.
“All experiences that players can have in their careers that go beyond club football are fantastic,” said Werner as per Deichstube.
