The Victor Attah International Airport in Uyo can now accept and handle international travelers after the Federal Government classified it as an international airport. Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, made the statement on Thursday in Abuja while meeting with Pastor Umo Eno, the governor of Akwa Ibom State.With this approval, the airport’s transition to full international operations will start. Previously, the airport operated as a local airport. According to Keyamo, the facility can compete with other international airports in Nigeria and already satisfies international standards.
