Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has dismissed Dr. Julie C. Onyeukwu from her position as Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission.
The decision was announced through a press release by the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, who stated that the Governor approved her immediate suspension.
Dr. Onyeukwu has been instructed to hand over all government property in her custody to the Permanent Secretary or the most senior official within the commission.
No reason was provided for her suspension in the statement.
