Six Super Falcons players from Imo State received N10 million apiece from Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma in recognition of their achievements at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Michelle Alozie, Oluchi Oluehi, Osinachi Ohale, Jennifer Echegini, Chiamaka Nnadozie, and Chinwendu Ihezuo are the players.
The governor of Imo State also gave assistant coach Ann Chiejine N10 million.
When Uzodinma hosted the players in Owerri’s Government House, he gave them the cash gift.
The Super Falcons overcame Morocco 3-2 in Sunday’s WAFCON 2024 final, as the DAILY POST remembers.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has also given the players and officials rewards for their outstanding achievement.
In addition to a three-bedroom home and $100,000, Tinubu bestowed the national honor of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) upon each player.
