Former Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney has named his top five best players in the English Premier League, EPL, this season.
The 2024/25 Premier League will end in May this year as there are currently five matches left to conclude the campaign.
Liverpool are clear favourite to win the Premier League title ahead of Arsenal.
Rooney, however, listed Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah among his top five players this season when asked.
Bruno Fernandes is my pick for fifth place, I believe. Bruno is the only reliable player who consistently produces, so even if Man United hasn’t had a great season, I will pick him for number five,” Rooney told Amazon Prime.
Morgan Gibbs-White would likely be my choice for fourth place. He has, in my opinion, had an outstanding season for Nottingham Forest.
“In third place, I would d go with Cole Palmer. Even if he hasn’t scored as many goals as he did early in the season, I still believe he has had a significant impact on Chelsea this year.
“Isak from Newcastle would be my choice for second place. I believe his goals, his all-around play, and of course, his goal in the championship game.
“Mo Salah would be my first choice. His performances over the past few years have been outstanding, and it appears that he will lead Liverpool to the championship this season as well.
