Erhiga Agarivbie, a Nigerian singer known as Erigga, has asserted that Nigerian women tend to date for financial gain rather than love.
According to Naija News, Erigga stated in a post on his 𝕏 account on Thursday, April 14, 2025, that Nigerian women see romance as a monetary gesture and love as having their bills paid.
He claims that what is happening in Nigeria does not constitute a relationship.
In his writing, he stated, “Nigerian women lack depth. They date to survive, not for romance. A man who is intentional is thus wealthy. Romance refers to a financial gesture.
“Love means paying their bills. The activities you people are engaged in within Nigeria don’t constitute a relationship.
