Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, a chieftain of the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated his consistent opposition to President Bola Tinubu’s government. Speaking on Channels Television’s Inside Sources with Laolu Akande, Dalung argued that despite the removal of fuel subsidy and increased revenues from sources like VAT, electricity, data, and bank charges, the Tinubu administration has shown nothing tangible for Nigerians. The former minister also criticized what he termed an “emperor-like leadership.” He lamented that many politicians defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC) are doing so out of selfish interest to align with the current government. Dalung warned that many governors will be shocked after the next presidential election. He concluded by lamenting that Nigeria is “nose-diving speedily into the abyss,” losing its civilization, and that the country is “blessed with everything but highly deficit in leadership.”
