The 2025 Sustainability Week at Dangote Cement Plant, Obajana, has begun with an extended program that emphasizes community involvement and sports development. A football competition including teams from Dangote Cement’s employees and the local host villages was the main event of the opening ceremony.The final was held yesterday, October 29, at the Obajana Academy Field, following exciting football games between the host community teams, Dangote Cement Obajana Plant, and Dangote Cement Transport. The Oyo Community Football Team defeats Dangote Cement Transport (DCT) 1-0 to secure victory in the highly anticipated final. The Plant Director, Mr. Azad Nawabuddin, CGM Maintenance, Mr. Panjala Sreedar, CGM Production, Mr. John Gwong, and GM Special Duties, Mr. Ademola Adeyemi, were among the important management figures who graced the final match. The event ended well, according to the organizers, with attendees and participants praising the initiative for promoting harmony, respect for one another, and cooperation in keeping with Dangote Cement’s sustainability principles.
