Without Tinubu, Wike will instantly become a nobody, and certain PDP governors are in danger, according to Dele Momodu.

According to Chief Dele Momodu, a PDP chieftain, Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is devoted to President Bola Tinubu for political reasons.
Momodu asserts that Wike would become irrelevant if he chose to sever his relationship with President Tinubu at this time.

The former presidential candidate went on to say that Wike has been granted a great deal of authority by President Tinubu as payment for his allegiance, and that he must defend his position and authority.According to Naija News, Chief Momodu made the submission in an interview with New Telegraph about the PDP’s crisis and the reasons why some members are working against the party in the run-up to the 2027 elections. He stated, “Well, there are several ways of looking at it. The first is that you can’t blame some of those who are working with Tinubu. Some people are afraid of themselves. They need to survive. In politics, it’s a game of survival. So, someone like Wike, for example, what can he do? Without Tinubu, he would have instantly become nothing. And Tinubu has given him so much power. Therefore, to whom much is given, much is expected.”                          “Therefore, it is not surprising that he would swim or sink with Tinubu because he has no other choice. His ambition is as vulnerable and voluptuous as Tinubu’s, but he must regrettably put it on hold until an opportunity arises, which may be like waiting for Godot.” Momodu further claimed that some PDP governors, especially those who wish to serve a second term in office, are being intimidated into backing President Tinubu as part of the APC’s tactics to retain power in the 2027 elections.

There are others; the governors, who are being threatened underground.

“They are being threatened with if they don’t support Tinubu, especially those who want a second term, then they are going to lose election.

“So, the strategy this time is different from just getting the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), grabbing power and running with it. This time, they are going to need to build more prisons.

“They are going to need to use force to coerce people into accepting the party. I don’t think they are even looking at the election. I think they are looking at a different strategy that if possible, acquire as many states as possible in arrears and in advance,” Momodu submitted.
