The Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-cultural organization’s youth wing has praised the governor Peter Mbah administration’s introduction of Enugu Air, saying it will open up additional economic prospects for the South-East’s residents.
In a statement provided to reporters on Tuesday, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, the national president of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, claimed that the governor had elevated administration and creativity to a new level.
According to Okwu, it was evidence of the Mbah administration’s careful handling of Enugu State’s economy.
The historic accomplishment “will open doors for more economic boom in the state,” he said.
This is the first of its kind in the South-East and ranks second nationally, behind the oil-rich state of Akwa Ibom. It says a lot.
“It is a milestone achievement and should be commended by all men of goodwill in the South-East and beyond.
“We are even more delighted that one of the captains is a youth from Enugu State, which is another indication that the Enugu Air will provide more jobs for the youths, advance the economic prosperity of the state, and indeed the South-East.”
Okwu urged continued support to Mbah’s government by the entire people of the state regardless of their political parties, stressing that “he is showing governance and it is time for everyone to support the government fully.”
He expressed optimism that Enugu Air will soon obtain its Air Operator Certificate (AOC)
We are happy that, only around 24 hours after the airline’s inauguration, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has already given its approval for Enugu Air to begin operating domestic flights.
“It is encouraging, and we anticipate that it will shortly obtain its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) as they resume operations with XEJET as their operational partner,” Okwu said.
