The youths of Ai-Ede community in Itabono Owukpa, Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State, under the banner of the Ai-Ede Eneke Progressive Youth Council (Oyame Worldwide), have extended warm congratulations to their son, Prof. Henry Idoko Ojobo, on his appointment as Rector of Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo.
In a statement, the group described the appointment as a reward for Prof. Ojobo’s diligence, excellence, and commitment to service. They noted that his elevation has brought pride not only to Ai-Ede but to the entire Ogbadibo nation.
The statement highlighted that Prof. Ojobo is the son of the late Hon. Augustine Ojobo (Oyame 1), the first Executive Chairman of Ogbadibo LGA, stressing that “a lion does not breed a goat.” They expressed confidence that, just as his father laid the foundation for a modern Ogbadibo, Prof. Ojobo would bring innovation, integrity, and transformation to the Polytechnic.
The youths also appreciated Governor Hyacinth Alia for appointing Prof. Ojobo, describing the gesture as proof of the governor’s commitment to rewarding merit, capacity, and excellence.
They further praised Prof. Ojobo’s track record as an academic, Associate Professor of Architecture, and mentor to young people, saying his rise affirms that diligence and character never go unnoticed.
Concluding, the statement prayed for wisdom and strength for the new Rector, expressing hope that his tenure would bring growth, progress, and lasting legacies to the Polytechnic, Benue State, and Nigeria at large.
