Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has issued a strong warning to any politicians considering election malpractice, advising those planning to rig the 2027 elections to “first of all write their will.” Speaking during the October edition of “Alex Otti Speaks to Abians,” the Governor stated that the outcome of the next election will be determined by the will of God and the people. His comments, which were reportedly a response to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu’s claim that the APC would take over Abia in 2027, reflect early political posturing for the forthcoming governorship contest. Governor Otti, elected on the Labour Party platform, ended the Peoples Democratic Party’s two-decade dominance in the state with his 2023 victory.
