Monalisa Stephen, a Nollywood actress and Nigerian brand influencer, has passed away following a short illness.
According to Naija News, Seun Oloketuyi, the CEO of the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards, declared the death in an Instagram post on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Oloketuyi mentioned that the plus-sized actress passed away on Tuesday, May 13, after struggling with low blood sugar and internal bleeding.
He added that the sister of the deceased actress confirmed her death.
He stated: “Brand influencer Monalisa Ayobami Stephen has passed away; she succumbed to low sugar and internal bleeding in Lagos yesterday. The death of this beautiful and hardworking individual was confirmed by her younger sister.

As she tells the story of her life, which has changed drastically from one of fame to one of survival, Jumoke weeps and implores Nigerians for help and prayers.
According to Jumoke, her first son Adeola, who celebrated his 41st birthday this past May, has been missing for more than four years.
The actress mentioned that she had taken multiple tests and presently requires ₦400,000 for heart and brain examinations.
