18 Nigerians have been identified by the US for deportation from the nation, joining 79 others who were already designated, for a total of 97 deportees. A statement posted on the US Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) website on Tuesday includes this information.It clarified that the arrests were a component of a concerted crackdown by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in multiple US states. As part of a broader nationwide enforcement effort aimed at immigrants convicted of serious crimes, the DHS said the additional names were added.
