The official start of 9mobile’s shift to a new corporate and customer identity, T2, has been announced.
This comes after the telecom provider’s unreliable network caused it to lose over 10 million subscribers to rivals.However, the company announced over the weekend that the rebrand is a significant step in its all-encompassing four-phase recovery roadmap—Stabilization, Modernization, Transformation, and Growth—which was introduced after Lighthouse Telecoms’ historic 2023 acquisition of 9mobile, which was headed by investor and business leader Mr. Thomas Etuh.
The company has undergone significant changes after the takeover, such as the implementation of a strategic infrastructure-sharing agreement with MTN Nigeria, the recruitment of new senior leadership, and the creation of a rejuvenated board.
