On Sunday, Manchester United secured the signing of Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha from Wolves in a deal reported to be worth £62.5 million ($83 million).
Cunha is anticipated to sign a five-year contract with the Old Trafford club, which has the option to extend the deal by an additional 12 months
“Manchester United has reached an agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers for the signing of Matheus Cunha,” a United statement said.
“Everyone at Manchester United is excited to welcome Matheus to Old Trafford. ”
Cunha, a 13-time Brazil international, netted 18 goals for Wolves across all tournaments this season and was awarded the club’s player of the year.
