Elina Svitolina saved three match points to oust Jasmine Paolini, last year’s runner-up, and secure her spot in the French Open quarter-finals on Sunday.
The 13th seed, aged 30, came back strongly to defeat the world No 4 with scores of 4-6, 7-6 (8/6), 6-1 in their quarter-final match.
