During his administration, President Bola Tinubu has pledged to make sure that every Nigerian feels the effects of good governance.
According to Tinubu, his government will keep funding vital infrastructure to raise Nigerians’ standard of living.
In celebration of his second year in office, Buhari gave a speech at the opening of the recently built Collector Road CN2 (Zakari A. Kyari Street) in Abuja.
Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), oversaw the construction of the roadways.
The president, who was accompanied by Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, stated that the newly opened road will drastically cut down on travel and traffic times and improve connectivity, demonstrating the administration’s dedication to urban development and raising Nigerians’ standard of living.
Every road we construct in the nation’s capital opens communities, fosters growth, and increases prosperity, he stated. Today’s commissioning represents more than just the opening of a road. I applaud the FCT Minister and his group for making infrastructure delivery a top priority.
Because we recognize that infrastructure is the cornerstone of national development and that it is not an expense but rather a wise investment for the populace, my administration will keep funding vital infrastructure such as roads, bridges, housing, transportation, and health care.
“Let me assure you that we are not relenting until every Nigerian in every corner of this country feels the impact of good governance.
“We are committed to making sure that the ongoing and future infrastructure projects that will further enhance the quality of life for our citizens are achieved in good time.”
The president also urged commuters to make good use of the roads.
He said the roads were constructed to improve the daily lives of their users in line with the promises of his administration.
Residents of Mabushi, Katampe, and the neighboring areas, this is your road. This is your road; use it with care and preserve it.
“When we took over this administration, we promised you that this road would greatly improve your daily lives, therefore that is what we created. “We will make sure that those commitments are fulfilled every day,” he continued.
