Jigawa NNPP tells Lamido, “Enough is enough, we will expose you to shame.”

Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, the leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and the party’s candidate for governor of Jigawa State in the general election of 2023, has addressed several remarks made by Sule Lamido, the previous governor of the state, in his recently published autobiography.

Speaking at the party’s assembly in Taura Local Government Area on Wednesday, Mr. Ringim made the statements.

Recently, Mr. Lamido released his autobiography, “Being True to Myself,” which explains Nigerian political events and other events from the end of the Second Republic, military intervention, transition plans, and the start of the Fourth Republic.

Ringim responded to the book by accusing Lamido of falsifying his political background and facts.

“Lamido presents himself in the book as a reliable leader who has never harmed anyone during his political career, which is completely untrue,” Ringim stated.

He claims that “Lamido is not treating himself and his political associates fairly because there are a number of false statements that need to be corrected.”

In the book, he added, the former governor accused former President Goodluck Jonathan of allegedly inflicting injustice on his son, Abdulsalam Abubakar, by detaining Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and other people.

Ringim also disputed Lamido’s assertion that the PDP’s defeat in the 2015 gubernatorial contest was due to the candidate’s avaricious and nasty demeanor.

“He claimed that the PDP lost the election because all of my political supporters abandoned me when I ran for governor in the 2015 general election.”

“To be clear, the former governor is aware of the part he played in the PDP’s election defeat, even though the party is strong and well-liked in the state,” Ringim said.

“I am fully aware of your personal life and political career. I might have to divulge information that would put you in public disgrace if you keep slandering me.
