The yearly vacation for judges of the state’s High Court will begin on Monday, July 21, 2025, according to a statement made by Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi, the Chief Judge of Rivers State.
David Ihua Maduenyi, the Chief Registrar of the Rivers State High Court, signed a statement that included this information.
Maduenyi stated that on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, regular court sessions will resume.
The vacation is in accordance with Order 49, Rule 4 of the High Court of Rivers State (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2023, as modified, the statement claims.
It added that during the holiday, the High Court’s judicial divisions will all be closed.The Chief Registrar further stated that vacation judges, who will be chosen by the Chief Judge, will handle any urgent cases filed during the break.
