Dele Momodu on the coalition’s acceptance of ADC: It’s time for the APC to feel some heat

It’s time for the All Progressives Congress, or APC, to take a hit, according to veteran journalist and PDP chairman Dele Momodu.

Momodu said this in response to the opposition coalition’s official political party being the African Democratic Congress, or ADC.

He emphasized that the acceptance of ADC has disproved detractors’ claims that the coalition is not serious.

Momodu insisted in a Facebook post that Nigerian democracy cannot tolerate a one-party system.

He wrote: “I’m glad opposition parties have shown their resolve and ability to oppose blatant persecution and tyranny, in response to those who claimed they couldn’t build a strong coalition.

“No one should ever put himself above other people. Our motto in life should be “live and let live.”

Bravo to the people who toiled behind the scenes to create this new political structure. In a democracy, a one-party state must be unacceptable.

Let APC experience some fire as well. This was, after all, how it also originated. God has control over what occurs next. Congratulations are due.
