House Eagles start getting ready for CHAN 2024

According to the DAILY POST, the home-based Super Eagles have begun training for the 2024 African Nations Championship.

On Monday night, 21 players participated in the team’s first practice at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

On Tuesday (today), the remaining 14 players are anticipated to report to camp.

Last Monday, head coach Eric Chelle announced a preliminary roster of 35 players for the tournament.

While in camp, the team is anticipated to play a number of friendlies.

In Group D of the CHAN 2024 finals, Nigeria will play Senegal, Sudan, and Congo, the reigning winners.

On Tuesday, August 7, Chelle’s team will play Senegal at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar to begin their campaign.

After missing the previous two editions, they are returning to the competition.

Three nations will host the CHAN 2024 finals, which will take place from Saturday, August 2 to Saturday, August 30.
