In 2031, Spain will host the Ryder Cup for the second time, with the event scheduled to occur at Camiral Resort in Girona. The 48th edition will take place at what was formerly known as PGA Catalunya, marking Spain’s first hosting of the event in 34 years.
Seve Ballesteros led Europe to a 14½-13½ win against the United States at Valderrama in 1997. The Ryder Cup will only have been played on continental European soil four times, with Valderrama, Paris in 2018, and Rome in 2023 serving as hosts.
The Stadium course at Camiral has been the venue for multiple tournaments on the DP World Tour, such as the Spanish Open.
Europe holds the Ryder Cup, having secured victory in Rome.
The event this year is taking place at Bethpage Black in New York from September 26 to 28.
The next two editions will take place at Adare Manor in County Limerick in 2027 and Hazeltine National in Minnesota in 2029, before returning to Spain.
