Wike denies rumors that he intends to choose a weak PDP chairman to deliver the party to Tinubu.

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has denied rumors that he intends to choose a weak candidate to the position of National Chairman of the PDP.
The Minister reportedly intended to install his candidate at the party’s next national convention later this year.

As far as Naija News is aware, there are rumors that the chairman would give President Bola Tinubu the PDP in the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Wike responded to the accusations by saying he has no plans to carry out any negative schemes against the former ruling party.

“It is incorrect; I will not draw attention to these things if I intend to do any harm,” he stated.

I’m bringing up these points because, given where you’re going, it won’t benefit us. Let’s make a sacrifice and let this man’s term end so that a man who doesn’t love you won’t be acting in this way.

Would you like South to visit Tinubu? Yes, have I never run for office before? This is nothing new.

Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s previous presidential contender, announced the formation of a coalition as a result of internal strife in the party recently.

Atiku declared the alliance with Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, and Peter Obi, a previous presidential candidate.

By 2027, the opposition coalition hopes to overthrow Tinubu.

The PDP Governors Forum responded by announcing that it will not support Atiku’s coalition.
