The scholarship award program of Dangote Cement Plc, Obaja has been extended to 51 communities in the Oworo District of the Lokoja local government of Kogi State.
This was revealed by Azad Nawabuddin, the Plant Director, during the Obajana scholarship award ceremony.
According to him, Dangote Cement decided to show its charity by making all 51 communities in the district beneficiaries of the program, even if the new community in Oworo land does not immediately fall within the company’s catchment areas.
According to the terms of the Community Development Agreement (CDA), Dangote Cement Plc, Obajana, already runs a scholarship program for its host communities, the plant director stated.
In order to further demonstrate its dedication to enhancing the well-being of the Oworo people, he continued, the corporation is also supplying five boreholes to five distinct Oworo communities in addition to the scholarship program.
He gave the communities his word that the business will continue to support its CSR (corporate social responsibility) initiative throughout the Oworo District.
