Nigeria’s multifaceted poverty may be addressed by the federal government, according to the recently reorganized Daily Trust Board of Economists.
On Saturday, August 30, 2025, the Board was officially launched at Media Trust Limited’s Abuja headquarters.
The Board notes in a communique at the conclusion of its first meeting, which was approved by the Chairman, Dr. Shehu Yahaya, and other members, that multidimensional poverty still affects everyday Nigerians in every aspect of the country’s economy, even though the National Bureau of Statistics last issued a statement on the topic in 2022.
