According to former Senate President Bukola Saraki, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) peaceful ward congresses in Kwara were proof that the party was prepared to regain power.
Saraki made this claim in a statement that was signed by Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, his local affairs press officer.
The former governor of Kwara State added that internal democracy and unity were reflected in the congresses held in each of the 193 wards of the state.
The congresses showed our party’s increasing power in Kwara once more,” he said.
He claimed that the process, which was driven by consensus, demonstrated the PDP’s willingness to take back control of the state at all levels.
“The outcome showed the collective resolve of the PDP family to work together in harmony,” he said, praising members for their excellent behavior.
Along with congratulating the recently elected ward executives, the former Senate president urged them to view their roles as a call to service.
According to Saraki, the new ward leaders have a big duty to serve as motivators, unifiers, and sincere representatives of the people’s goals.
