SPORT2026 WCQ: Olusegun may miss the Super Eagles vs. Lesotho game due to a visa issue

Moving forward Olakunle Olusegun may not be able to attend the Super Eagles’ match against Lesotho since he has not yet received an entry visa into South Africa. Olusegun is one of the 23 players that head coach Eric Chelle has invited to the match and the matchup versus Benin Republic. Nigeria might bring charges in the pivotal matchup with 21 players. Felix Agu, a defender for Werder Bremen, has already left the game because of a hamstring injury, and Chelle has chosen not to substitute him. If Olusegun cannot obtain an entrance visa to South Africa, he will travel to Uyo for the match against the Benin Republic. On Friday, the Super Eagles will play Lesotho at Polokwane’s New Peter Mokaba On Tuesday of next week, they will play Benin Republic at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
