Ntel Plans To Return To Nigeria In Q1 2026

A plan for the revival of Nigeria’s telecom sector has been released by the Nigerian Telecommunications Limited (ntel). The CEO of Ntel, Mr. Soji Maurice-Diya, presented a detailed plan to media in Lagos that sets up the once-dormant national carrier for a digital renaissance propelled by innovation, youth inclusion, and strategic industry cooperationMaurice-Diya, who took over as CEO of Ntel earlier this year, gave a thorough speech about the development of Nigerian telecoms, the regulatory landscape, infrastructural deficiencies, and Ntel’s intentions to reenter the market by the first quarter of 2026. Building on Nigeria’s 25-year telecom heritage requires new innovation, policy coordination, and a more thorough localization of infrastructure and content, he emphasized.
