According to Dr. Said Abubakar, Executive Chairman of Kano State Inland Revenue Service (KIRS), the state is aiming for more than $100 billion in domestically produced revenue by 2025 in order to improve service delivery and quicken development throughout the state. At the service’s 2025 Annual Performance Review and Strategic Planning Meeting, which took place in Kano on Wednesday, the chairman made this statement.According to Abubakar, Kano, which is widely acknowledged as a significant commercial center, has the potential to produce more than N200 billion a year due to its extensive industrial base, robust agricultural sector, and active trade networks. In terms of fabrics, grains, and other commodities, Kano is a commercial hub with five key marketplaces that are vital not just in sub-Saharan Africa but throughout the entire continent, he stated.
