Ronaldo acknowledged that he was getting older and that he would not be able to participate in the tournament in 2030. When the competition resumes in 2030, Ronaldo will have turned 45. Before Portugal’s 2026 World Cup qualification match against Iceland, Ronaldo told the media that he was almost done with his career. The iconic Portuguese striker still has a two-year contract with Al-Nassr, his Saudi Pro League team, and he thinks it will be his last.When asked about retirement and the FIFA World Cup, Ronaldo responded, “Definitely, yes.” I believe that my 41st birthday will be the turning point. “To be honest, I’ll still be at the game in perhaps a year or two. The greatest goal scorer in football history is Ronaldo. The 40-year-old is on the verge of reaching 1000 career goals and now has over 900 official goals.
