The Bauchi State football squad defeated their Gombe opponent 3-1 on penalties to win the 2025 North-East Unity Football Tournament. The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) is hosting the competition as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations.In the final, which took place on Wednesday at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi, the fiercely contested game ended 1-1 at normal time before Bauchi won the penalty shootout to win the zonal trophy. The competition’s chairman, Dr. Abubakar Fakai, congratulated Bauchi State on winning the North-East edition.
