Haaland smashes Shearer’s record, becomes quickest to achieve 100 goals

Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland, has been the quickest player in the history of the competition to reach 100 goals. This was accomplished on Tuesday night when Haaland opened the score in their 5-4 triumph over Fulham. It took the Norway international only 111 league outings to attain the century milestone. The 25-year-old has now beaten the previous mark established by former Newcastle captain, Alan Shearer. It took Shearer 124 league matches to reach 100 goals. Haaland had failed to score in his last three games against Newcastle, Bayer Leverkusen, and Leeds before scoring against Fulham. Haaland scored 17 goals with his head and 71 with his left foot out of his 100 goals.
