Marcus Succeeds in Abuja’s TYB Lady Captain’s Cup Debut

At the Tukur Yusuf Buratai International Golf Resort and Country Club in Abuja, the inaugural TYB Lady Captain’s Cup Championship got underway in dramatic fashion, showcasing exceptional performances and establishing a new standard for women’s golf at the club. After three days of rigorous combat, S.J. Marcus emerged as the highlight of the competition, earning the overall ladies’ title with a stunning 141 net, playing off handicap 14.Marcus outperformed a competitive field, winning ahead of Patience Abechi, who returned 152 net to claim the runner-up position, while Rose Nyam followed with 155 net to finish as second runner-up. Elizabeth Samuel claimed the Best Gross title with an astounding 178 gross over two days. Marcus called her victory “surreal” and added that she overcame challenging times on the course with tenacity, concentration, and mental discipline.
