According to information obtained by The PUNCH, Christian leaders in Plateau State are organizing a protest in response to the state’s ongoing murders. More than 30 villagers were reportedly slain by gunmen in Bassa villages in the early hours of Monday. Additionally, last week, gunmen carried out multiple attacks in different areas inside the Bokkos Local Government Area, killing over fifty individuals. The planned protest was verified by Dr. Gideon ParaMallam, president of the Gideon and Funmi Peace Foundation and a member of the planning group.
He added the demonstration, called the “2nd Peace Walk Against Continuous Killings,” is to call for justice and an end to the needless killings. Relevant News
