The Ona of Abaji, Baba Yunusa Ugbada, praised President Bola Tinubu’s initiatives aimed at developing the Federal Capital Territory, or FCT, which are being carried out through Minister Nyesom Wike. Ugbada referred to Wike as an authentic representative of President Tinubu. The traditional ruler, who also serves as the Chairperson of the FCT Royal Chiefs, made these remarks on Thursday while receiving members of the FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors, who were led by Adamu Abdullahi. The purpose of this visit was to strengthen relationships and gain support for President Tinubu’s current administration. The Ona of Abaji highlighted the necessity for increased investment in infrastructure and educational programs within the FCT, especially in the surrounding satellite towns. The Renewed Hope Ambassadors also made visits to several other chiefdoms, including Gwargwada, Rubochi, Yaba, Wako, Pai, and Zuba. Separately, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Pai, the Chief of Pai, commended the administration for improving road systems, which helps farmers transport their goods to the capital city. Engineer Muhammad Bello Umar, the Agora of Zuba, expressed his trust in the ambassadors and promised his support for both the unity and progress of the FCT. Finally, Honourable Adamu Abdullahi assured the traditional rulers that their concerns would be promptly relayed to President Tinubu, whom he stated is committed to hearing the voices of the people.
