BUA Foods’ Integrated Sugar Facility is 80% finished.

As it works to increase domestic production in a nation that is largely dependent on imports for the commodity, BUA Foods Plc has announced that it is almost finished with what is expected to be Nigeria’s largest integrated sugar complex. The facility, which is almost 80% finished and is situated in Lafiagi, Kwara State, demonstrates Abdul Samad Rabiu’s dedication to industrialization and revolutionary investments that spur economic growth in his capacity as chairman of BUA Foods Plc.During a site inspection tour by senior government officials on Monday, Kabiru Rabiu, group executive director of BUA group, stated, “What we are building here in Lafiagi will be the largest sugar mill, sugar plantation, and sugar refinery in this country with a 10,000 tons of cane processing capacity per day.” Find out more “We will be processing 20 million liters of industrial ethanol annually and producing 35 megawatts of electricity from bagasse,” he continued.
