The N515,532 billion “Budget of Economic Growth and Infrastructural Transformation” has been approved by Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni. The signing was held at the Government House Banquet Hall in Damaturu, the capital of Yobe. After the bill was formally presented by Speaker of the House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Chiroma Buba Mashio and approved by Assembly members, the governor signed the budget on Tuesday. The capital program received N291,903,650:00, or 62% of the total budget, while recurring expenses received N223,628,350:00, or 38%.Governor Buni, who signed the budget, stated that the 2026 financial bill will revolutionize employment, infrastructure development, agriculture, education, and health. He added that the 2026 budget plan will put more of an emphasis on raising the standard of living for Yobe residents in order to fulfill the objectives of his administration. The State House of Assembly Speaker stated in his statement that the budget has been marginally modified.According to him, the original amount of N515,583,000,000 has been adjusted to N515,532,000,000, with a minor reduction in the capital expenditure allocation and an increase in the recurrent services allocation.He added that the distribution of certain Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) has undergone some internal changes.According to Daily Trust, Buni submitted the N515,583,000,000 budget proposal to the House on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
