Senator Shehu Sani has emphasized the necessity of a strong and credible opposition, cautioning that democracy cannot exist without it as political realignments gain traction in the run-up to the general elections in 2027. Sani responded to the scandal involving former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai during a press conference in Kaduna.I must caution Nigerians that in any democracy, opposition is essential because without it, a country runs the risk of collapsing,” he warned. But before the next general election, the former lawmaker questioned the moral character of people posing as alternative leaders.
