According to Completesports.com, Gift Orban will not be permanently signed by Serie A team Hellas Verona at the end of the current campaign.
Last summer, Orban signed a season-long loan with the Buddies from Hoffenheim, a Bundesliga team.
Both parties included a purchase option in the agreement.
Verona, who are destined for Serie A relegation, will not exercise the buy option, according to the German daily BILD.
With seven goals this season, Orban leads Verona in scoring, although the Nigerian hasn’t scored in almost three months.
Following the team’s 1-0 home defeat to AC Milan, the 23-year-old got into a physical argument with a spectator.
