Alade Balogun, a midfielder with the Shooting Stars, expressed displeasure about the team’s inability to win the Oyo State Federation Cup in 2026.
At the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Sunday, the Oluyole Warriors were defeated 4-2 on penalties by Crown FC.
In regulation time, the fiercely contested match concluded 1-1.
According to Balogun, the club will correct its mistakes and perform better in next games.
Balogun told 3SCfanstv, “I feel very bad for the outcome of the game because we should have won the cup.”
“We acknowledge the loss and resume our efforts to get better.”
Oyo State will be represented in the 2026 President’s Federation Cup by Crown FC and the runner-up Shooting Stars.
